Johwa 조화

Johwa, a Korean word meaning harmony and balance, is central to my artistic vision. Through my abstract and expressive paintings, I capture the vibrant energy and serene beauty of Hawaiian nature: tropical flowers, soaring birds, rhythmic waves, volcanic activity, and the luminous sky of sunrise and sunset. Each piece embodies a dialogue between opposites: bold movement and calm stillness, color and space, echoing the philosophy of yin and yang. 

This series invites viewers to reconnect with joy, adaptability, and inner peace. It is both a celebration of the resilience of nature and a gentle reminder of our own strength and renewal.
